On a crowded festival ground, tens of thousands of phones share the same cell sites. A single SIM card that performed well in the afternoon often delivers a fraction of that bandwidth in the evening. A stream running over one link drops exactly when it matters.
We solve this with Peplink SpeedFusion: several 5G connections from different carriers and a Starlink uplink are bonded into one encrypted tunnel. If one path fails, the next takes over without a session drop (hot failover). For demanding streams, WAN smoothing duplicates packets across links and evens out packet loss and jitter. Request
Date, location, duration, expected number of users, streams and bandwidth needs. We reply with a concrete proposal and price.
Site check
Cellular coverage per carrier, clear sky view for Starlink, power, cable routes and mounting points. Remotely for known venues, otherwise on site.
Set-up
Delivery of pre-configured equipment, mounting of antennas and access points, function test with your streaming team and hand-over.
Operation
Link monitoring during the event, adjustment of priorities, technician within reach. 24/7 if required.
Tear-down
Dismantling, return of rental equipment and a short debrief: what worked, what we plan differently next time.

Frequently asked questions about event internet and live production
How much bandwidth do we need for a live stream?
A single HD stream usually needs 5 to 20 Mbit/s of upload, stable and without dropouts, depending on the encoder. Consistency matters more than the peak value. That is exactly why we bond several links and give the stream priority over all other users.
Does 5G bonding work on congested festival networks?
Much better than a single SIM, because we use connections from several carriers at once and add a Starlink uplink that is independent of cellular load. During the site check we measure which networks perform at the location.
Can we rent the equipment without a technician?
Yes. We provide pre-configured packages you can set up yourself with a quick-start guide. For productions with many users or several streams we recommend a technician on site. Conditions are on the Rental page; prices on request.
Is renting Starlink permitted at all?
Yes. DRYNET is not a Starlink reseller. We source Starlink hardware and service plans through our partner Tototheo; we advise on satellite communication, install and commission the terminals and integrate Starlink into your network. For events we use business plans intended for commercial use. Starlink is a trademark of SpaceX. Availability of individual plans and their terms can change; we check them for every deployment. How quickly is SKYPACK 5G ready?
The case is pre-configured: place it, position the Starlink antenna with a clear view of the sky, switch it on. Once the link is up, Wi-Fi and VPN are active. A reporter team needs no IT skills for this.
Can you provide visitor Wi-Fi for several thousand people?
Yes, with outdoor access points, point-to-point links between areas and a backhaul sized for the expected number of users. Visitor Wi-Fi runs in its own network with a bandwidth cap so production and ticketing are not affected. Planning happens during the site check.
How do you protect the transmission against third-party access?
The SpeedFusion tunnel is encrypted, production and guest networks are separated, management access is protected by multi-factor authentication. On request we build a VPN tunnel straight into your broadcast centre or company network.
Do you only work in northern Germany?
We are based in Kiel but work across Germany and, on request, in Europe. Rental packages are shipped; for set-up and operation our technicians travel to you.
